Scott Brown Obituary

Scott “Herbie” Joseph Brown, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 in Poynette, WI. Scott was born the fifth of six boys to Fredrick and Patricia (Schumacher) Brown in Madison, WI. He married Janet Fenney in 1989 and had two sons, Seth and Parker. He has always said that raising his sons to be good men was his greatest accomplishment. Scott was an exceptional bowler and avid golfer, achieving multiple perfect 300 games and a recent hole-in-one. He participated in numerous bowling leagues and took nearly every Friday off in the summer to hit the links. He also enjoyed riding his Harleys with friends exploring multiple parts of the US. Scott co-founded a non-profit motorcycle group called Reason2Ride with his best friend, Scotty, where they held a fundraiser every year to help a community member in need. His friends loved him for his witty humor, goofy voices, and infectious laugh. Scott has helped and supported many people over the years. Whether it was helping a friend chop up some trees or offering someone a place to stay for a while. He was constantly giving back to anyone he could. He truly could make a friend out of any stranger. Scott was a proud semi-truck driver, he worked for Future Foam in Middleton for 42 years and Reynolds Transfer in Middleton for 31 years. Scott is survived by his mother, Patricia. His two sons, Seth(Brittney), and Parker. His brothers, James Brown, Mark(Becky) Brown, and Patrick(Tina) Brown. Nieces and nephews, TJ Brandt, Heather(Tony) Jacobson, Sharon(Tony) Hagene, Justin Brown, Allisa(Tyler) Brock, Amber(Ian) Nelson, Jeremy Brown, Spencer Brown, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Some friends who were very special to Scott are: Scott Meicher, Greg and Sandy Belgum, Bill Nash, and Randy Cole. Along with many more family and friends whom he truly loved. Scott is preceeded in death by his father, Fredrick “Fritz”, his brothers, Jerome “Jerry” and William, and nephew, Nicholas. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm at the American Legion Post 481 (5337 River Rd, Waunakee, WI 53597).
