Obituary

John William Johnson age 73 of Portage, Wisconsin. Died on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Infinite Abilities Adult Family Home in Portage, WI. John was born on June 22, 1949, in Portage to Elmer and Lucile (Bolgrin) Johnson. John graduated from Portage High School in 1967. He worked at Black Furniture in Portage. He then attended MATC in Madison where he received a degree in Computer Programming. John was employed for several years at CESA 12 as a key punch operator. John enjoyed listening to music, reading and always learning something new. He is a lifelong member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. John is survived by his brothers and sisters, Molly Campa, George (Glenda) Johnson, Micki Fuerst, Zindy (Michael) Anacker, Christian Johnson, Arlyn (Kristine) Johnson, Anita (Ron) Exley, Kermit Johnson and many nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Inez. A private family service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Monday, November 28, 2022, with the Rev. William Grimm officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Kratz funeral Home-Portage (www.kratzfuneralhome.com) is assisting with arrangements.
