Angela Maria Krueger-Simon

Angela Maria Krueger-Simon, 43 of Portage WI died Monday, August 22, 2022, at UW Hospital, Madison. Angela was born on October 2, 1978, in the state of Kerala in southern India. The first year of Angela’s life was in the care of St. Joseph’s Childrens Home in this area. On October 5, 1979, Angela joined the family of James E and Patsy L Krueger along with their children, Amy and Andy Krueger of Marion WI. Angela spent the early years of her life in Marion, but ‘country’ life was not for her. She spent her adult life residing in Kenosha, Appleton, and most recently Portage. In Kenosha and Appleton is where she raised her daughter India, whom Angela was so very proud of. Angela was a kind, strong, and wonderful woman, and a great friend to so many people. She will be missed by all who knew her. Angela reconnected with a friend last year and that friendship turned into a relationship that she so deserved. Angela was married to Joshua Simon on August 22, 2022, at 9 a.m. in the UW Hospital, Madison, finding some happiness on her last day of life. Angela is survived by her husband, Joshua Simon, daughter India Yvonne Mattox, father James (Jake) Krueger (Debora Retzlaff), sister Amy (Todd) Prellwitz, brother Andy (Heather) Krueger and nieces and nephew, Liberty and Faith Prellwitz, Alyssa, Hannah, and Stephen Krueger. Angela was preceded in death by her mother Patsy L Krueger and grandparents Earl and Hazel Krueger and Victor and Elda Niemuth. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from noon to 3 p.m. at Kratz Funeral Home in Portage, WI with a memorial service following. A celebration of life will also be held for friends and family of Angela at the home of Jake and Debbie, E5040 Cty Rd G, Marion, WI on September 11, 2022, starting at 1 p.m.
