Obituary

Blair, Wisconsin Warren Ray Nyen age 69 died on Monday, November 4, 2024 at his home in Blair.

Warren was born on August 30, 1955 in Whitehall, WI to Wayne and Lillian (Walsted) Nyen.

Warren was employed with Ladsten Chevrolet in Blair for 31 years as an auto detailer, then stayed with them as they became Gross Motors in Black River until his retirement in 2019.

Warren loved the outdoors, a good morning deer watch, fishing and hunting, and driving the backroads to see the countryside. He was also known to be an avid finder of asparagus, having knowledge of all the best area patches.

He was a routine volunteer for cheesefest, working every year on Sunday. A dedicated fan of the Packers and Brewers, often "watching them on the radio" while he was grilling. Warren will be remembered by most as a town fixture and from the local tavern, drinking a Blatz.

Warren is survived by his daughter Robin (Mitch) Gardner, two brothers; David (Marie) Nyen, Jim (Sue) Nyen and a sister Lori (Todd) Reismann, a sister-in-law Marsha Nyen, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Warren is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lou and a brother Steve.

A Celebration of life will be held from 1:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Off Broadway Bar in Blair, WI. His favorite time to be there. A graveside service with burial will be held prior to the celebration at 12:30 in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Blair, WI. Any monetary gifts provided to the family will be donated to Friends of Lake Henry in Memory of Warren.
