Wanda Lee (Freeman) Anderson, age 87 of Portage, WI died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at Hamilton Park Place in Portage. Wanda was born on Jan. 2, 1931 to Martin and Viola (Miller) freeman. She moved to Portage in 1949 and married Claude Anderson June 24, 1950 and have been happily married for 67 ½ years. Wanda worked at the Kroeger Egg Plant, Weyenberg Shoe factory and finished her career at AMPI working for them 26 years. Wanda was a loving wife and mother, she was strong, determined and cared about others; she would always place others needs before hers. Later in life she would hand out hug tickets (Free Hug). Wanda is survived by her children: Linda (Jeff Powell) Barker of Pardeeville, WI; Kathy Doering of Portage; Claudia Anderson of Madison, WI and Robert (Karen) Anderson of Denver, CO; one sister Harriett English of Florida; She is survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and a brother-in-law John English. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Kratz Funeral Home 302 E. Conant St. in Portage. Rev. David Hankins will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage.
