Thomas Willstead, age 74 of Pardeeville, Wisconsin died Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Portage, Wisconsin with Pastor Dick Inglett officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Thomas was born January 2, 1940 in Harmon, Illinois the son of Lester and Mary (Brown) Willstead. In October of 1966 he enlisted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and Thailand. He was honorably discharged in October of 1968 but remained in the Army Reserves until February of 1976. In December of 1967 he married Donna Caflisch in Amboy, Illinois. For over 26 years Thomas worked as a truck driver for Janesville Auto Transport and later for Allied. For hobbies he enjoyed buying and selling antiques and woodworking. He was also a member of the American Legion since 1972. Thomas is survived by stepsons, Bill Bahr of Portage and David (Jill) Bahr of Verona; grandchildren, Steven, Stephanie and Logan; and sisters, Mary Lou (Bob) Smith and Sharon Sue Goss both of Rochelle, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; brothers, Lester, Russell and Everett and sisters, Carroll Rollie and Pat Zine.
