Thomas Edward Lennon, age 84 years, of Endeavor died on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born on March 13, 1926 in Portage to Elmer and Marie (Zamzow) Lennon. Thomas attended Portage High School and was on the Portage Boxing Team. He enlisted in the United States Navy serving from 1943 - 1946 in the South Pacific on a minesweeper. Thomas was united in marriage to Ruth York on July 3, 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa; she preceded him in death on March 29, 1996. He was a retired construction worker, was an avid horseman, trained horses and enjoyed hobby farming. Survivors include 8 Children - Patrick (Debbie) Lennon of Endeavor, Cheryl (Ramon) Torres of Montello, Terry Lennon of Endeavor, Tim Lennon of Montello, Mary Lennon (Jeff Nemec)of LaFarge, Susan (Rory) Thiede of Endeavor, Michael Lennon of Endeavor and Jennifer (John) Zajda of Westfield; 15 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 1 Sister - Dorothy Lennon of Portage. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a Son - Mickey, a Grandson - Kyle and 2 Sisters - Patricia Lennon and Mary Wendt. Private memorial graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Portage with Father James Murphy officiating followed by military honors.
