Thomas L Hoffman, (Senior, TV Tom, Sir, Pop, Father, Papa), Portage, WI, November 30, 2014 Tom passed away after a short, but honorable, battle with liver cancer. He was surrounded by the those who loved him most at his passing and under the caring guidance of the St. Clare Hospice Home Staff of Baraboo for whom the family is grateful. Tom was born in Madison, WI on July 21, 1944 and was a graduate of Middleton High School. Tom served in the US Air Force in the mid 60's where he was stationed in Panama City, Florida as a medic. Following his service he attended and graduated with a BA in Marketing from UW Whitewater. He had a long career as a salesman for a variety of products and services calling on customers around Wisconsin. As a result he put on enough miles to circle the earth twice per year, and had an appreciation for a "good piece of road." Upon retirement from the Wisconsin State Farmer Newspaper, Tom joined the ranks of Pleasant View Golf Course of Middleton. He golfed with his buddies daily followed by working as a Course Ranger where he was truly in his element. Tom was passionate about watching and playing sports. He loved the Badgers and Packers. He loved golf, playing poker, golf, listening to the oldies, and golf. Above all his brightest joy in life was his family. Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon, his children, grandchildren, brother, and his little buddy Scooter his dog. All are left with many happy memories of this joyful man who left them too soon. A memorial in his honor will be held in the spring accompanied by a golf outing. "Faith, hope and love remain.... The greatest of these is love." I Corinthians 13:13 Service Details. Visitation
