New Haven Township Rosemary Carlson, of Big Spring, Wisconsin has taken her last Journey on Sept. 7, 2018. After a lifetime of travel through-out the world, Rosemary died peacefully at her home. Rosemary, a past Milwaukee Audubon Officer, current member of Wisconsin Society of Ornithology, and a life-long Bird-watcher and environmentalist, was an active community member of her New Haven township. Her passion for birds, wildlife, and the waters surrounding her home resulted in the strengthening of Wisconsin laws and forestalling attempts of exploiting Wisconsin's aquifer and ground waters. Rosemary's working life was as a cost accountant for the Wehr Corporation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1949 she began her accounting career at the young age of 17. She continued to work at the same company for 27 years. She retired from Wehr twice, after having been recalled to work in the 1970's due to her expertise in her field. Rosemary was born in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of Alvin and Leona Carlson (Nee Decker), is the last of her immediate family. She is survived by her spouse for 26 years, Lisa F. Linares, her beloved cat Selma-Selma, her nieces/nephews, her friends and the women of her Lizard group. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the New Haven Town Hall, 330 Golden Court, Wisconsin Dells.
