Blair, WI Ronald F. Myskewitz age 59 of Blair, WI died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the Gunderson Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall, WI Ron was born on June 28, 1958 to Fred and Alice (Stellpflug) Myskewitz. Ron married his best friend Mary Hughes on February 25, 1978 in Blair, WI             Ron was an active member of the Blair and surrounding communities. He was instrumental in the installation of the Vietnam Memorial in the Blair park, Ron was a council member of the Blair Lutheran Church (West), on the Cemetery Association Board, Youth Advisor for Hi-League, Sunday school teacher. Ron volunteered with Boy Scouts and was a past Scout Master, He was a Ranger Corp. member at Camp Decorah and a longtime member of the Blair Lions Club. Ron was a member of the Blair Chamber of Commerce, volunteered many hours with the AAL branch, fundraising for families and the Blair community. Ron held a bikeathon for five years to benefit Cystic Fibrosis. Volunteered for Gundersen Tri County Hospital Capital Campaign, was a Trempealeau County "Foster" dad for emergency respite care, worked many years in the Cheese Fest chicken stand, a member of Ridge Runners snowmobile club, a board member of the Blair Foundation, a board member and President of the Trempealeau County Housing Authority, a member of the Blair Sportsman's Club and currently a Master Mason of the Free and Accepted Masons. The project that has given Ron the most joy was helping Santa Clause for 27 years. He never asked for payment (although some were very generous) but he found great joy in bringing smiles and laughter to children and their families. Ron is Survived by his best friend and Wife Mary of Blair, Daughter Jennifer (Tony) Balfany of LaCrosse, Father, Fred Myskewitz, Siblings; Greg Myskewitz, Kathey Cook, Vicki (Dave) Jacobson, Rick (Kim) Myskewitz, Mark Myskewitz and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his son Rob. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Blair Lutheran West Church (Zion) in Blair, WI. Rev John Ashland will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 also in the church. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
