Roland "Rollie" L. Maum age 87 of Portage, WI, formerly of Beloit died Sunday, February 4, 2024 at his home in Portage with family by his side. Rollie served in the United States Army and later in the National Guard. He married Karen Kelk on December 3, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomah, WI Rollie worked his career in Appliance Repair, owning his own business. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers, his favorite was watching his grandson's play baseball and football. Rollie was known to enjoy a brandy on occasion. Roland is survived by his three daughters; Mary Vocelka, Laura (Roy) Maum-Schmid, Kathy (Shaun) Long; one brother Charles (Pam) Maum and a sister Lois Gordon, two brothers-in-law. survived also by 6 grandson's and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Karen in July of 2022, a brother Bob and a brother-in-law Fritz. Roland's funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Kratz Funeral Home – Portage. (www.kratzfuneralhome.com) Father Randy Timmerman will be officiating. A public visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Private family burial will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tomah, WI.
