Richard A. Bocek (Boe), age 67 passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, with his family by his side. Boe was a carpenter for Klein Builders for many years. Moving to Portage he worked doing shore lines for Tommy Dixon, also for Portage Furniture and Wilz Drug delivering Meds and Equipment. Richard was born March 18, 1951 in Bensonville, ILL. He graduated from Fenton High School. On February 15, 1991 he was married to Chris Grotzke in Portage. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cheering for the Bears and Cubbies. He would take nieces and nephews camping and teaching them to fish. Richard is survived by his Wife Chris, his sister's Bonnie (Rick) Grunt, Bensonville;  Mother-In-Law Mary Grotzke; Barb (Charlie) Ziemet, Biloxi Mississippi; Toby (Tom) Anstett Long Grove, ILL.  Sister-in-Law's Kathy Sickles, Deforest; Sandy Drost Pardeeville; Barb (Mark) VanAsten, Dalton, WI; Stacy (Mike) Stolen Stoughton, WI and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Richard is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Olga (Olsen) Bocek. Grandma Olsen, Father-in-Law Peter Grotzke. A celebration of Boe's life will be held on August 11, 2018 at the Portage Elks Club, 201 Conant Street from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please come and celebrate his life with food and music.
