Paul Henry Baker age 83 of Portage, died on July 12, 2015 in the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Paul was born on November 28, 1931 in Saskatchewan, Canada to William and Hazel (Gibbons) Baker. Paul joined the US Army during the Korean war. He was discharged in 1953 with the rank of Sergeant.  He was employed for many years at Spartech and also owned a resort in Packwaukee, selling before moving to portage in 1980. Paul was a fan of all Wisconsin sports, especially the Brewers. He enjoyed fishing, playing horse shoes and gardening. He was at peace living on the Fox River. Later in life he was happy doing his paper route. He loved his grandchildren. Paul is survived by his wife Marie, three children Kim Baker, Kevin Baker, Bobby Kratz. Grandchildren Nicholas Myers and Nanette Myers, Racheal, Ryan Baker and Renee (Nick) Sainsbury.  Grandchildren, Savannah and Jase Sainsbury and Many friends. A Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4 till 6 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Portage, WI with military rites from the Portage Veterans Honor Guard at 5 p.m. Burial will take place on July 31, 2015 at the Johnson Grove Cemetery in Waterman, Illinois.
