Patricia M. Schoon, age 84 of Portage, passed away at home on Monday, February 25, 2019 Pat was born in Portage in 1934 to Frederick and Erma (Tennyson) Koch. She was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Evangelical Church and later joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Pat graduated from Portage High School in 1952 and was employed as a secretary to the Columbia County Superintendent of Schools and as office manager of CESA 12. Pat married William Schoon on August 15, 1959 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and they had one son Charles. Pat is survived by her husband, William and son, Charles, of Portage. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Koch. Although Pat was a believer in Jesus Christ her entire life, she did not want a eulogy or sermon.
