Nicholas Dominic Cacic, age 91 years of Montello died on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his residence.  He was born on January 13, 1923 in Lyons, IL to Michael and Joanna (Cebry) Cacic.   Nicholas lived in the Chicago area when he joined the United States Navy on November 2, 1942 serving until December 10, 1945.  On February 5, 1944 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Krywokulski at St. Roman's Catholic Church in Chicago.  After his discharge he worked for the Western Engine Company in Chicago where he became the Vice President of Sales and did business in 35 countries.  Nicholas also enjoyed golfing, reading, telling jokes and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.      Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Lorraine of Montello, 3 children, Joseph Cacic of Elburn, IL, Therese Richards of Carol Stream, IL and Michael (Veronica) Cacic of Warrenville, IL, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Joseph, Steve, Walter, Donald and Vincent and 1 sister, Irene.   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello with Father David Carrano officiating.  Burial with military rites by the Montello area veterans will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Montello.  Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM.  Service Details.
