Maxine E. Doepke, age 84 years, of Pardeeville died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born on August 25, 1927 to Clark and Jennie (Hindes) Van Schoyck. Maxine was united in marriage to Jack Doepke on April 6, 1947 at the Portage United Methodist Church; he preceded her in death on June 3, 1995. Maxine has lived in Portage and moved to Pardeeville in 1977. She was a LPN at the Divine Savior Hospital for many years and also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, knitting, gardening, flowers, fishing and traveling. Survivors include 3 Daughters - Linda (Robert) Hartley of Portage, Diane Doepke (Paul Strupp) of Pardeeville and Mary Gifford of Sun Prairie; 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister - Wilma Parrott of Briggsville; Brother - Erwin Van Schoyck of Portage and many dear friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother - Ira Van Schoyck, 2 sisters - Ione Ziemet and Eleanor Jensen, and a son in law - Steve Gifford. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Portage United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Countryman officiating.
