Obituary

Marilyn Neilsen, age 91, died peacefully on August 12, 2021 in her home in Portage Wisconsin. She is survived by sons Colin (Sarah), Carey (Jan), and Kirk, as well as a large family of sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be reunited in heaven with family and friends who preceded her in death including husband Conrad, sons Dane, Rory, and Terence, siblings Patsy and Marty, parents Mary and Martin, and stepfather Pat. Marilyn was born in Chicago and lived in IL and WI during her life. She attended Presentation High School and was an excellent swimmer. She was best friends with her mother and loved her big family as one of 10 children. She worked in retail, a nursing home, a real estate agency and more, able to do anything she put her mind to. Her biggest job was raising six boys! Marilyn lit up being around her large family, loving and caring about everyone deeply. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Kratz Funeral Home 302 E. Conant St. in Portage. Father Gary Krahenbuhl will be officiating. Public visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank Agrace North Baraboo Team for taking such good care of Marilyn while in her home.  Service Details.
