Lillian Irene Johnson, age 80, died on Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Portage. She was born on August 1, 1929 in Johnston City, IL to John and Mamie (Seagel) Lucas. Lillian was united in marriage on June 15, 1947 to Dwight F. Johnson, SR in Kincaid, IL. She worked in Wisconsin Dells for many years at the Super Diamond Dollar and the Riverview and later worked at the Portage Piggly Wiggly from 1989 - 2005. She is a member of the Church of Nazarene in Baraboo where she was the Sunday school secretary. Survivors include her husband, Dwight; 7 children, Gary (Ann) Johnson of Middleton, Sharon (Jack) Krueger of Pardeeville, Janine Knox (Tom Blish) of West Bend, Connie (Ken) D'Alessandro of Milwaukee, LeAnn (Mike) Konicek of Madison, Sandra (Bob) Bowers of Pardeeville and Fred (Karen) Johnson of Janesville; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 8 sisters and 3 brothers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Nazarene, 1800 Crawford St. Baraboo with Pastor Thomas Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Lake Cemetery, Portage. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 - 6 PM at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage and at the church on Monday from 10 AM until 11 AM.
