Leonard Robert Johnson age 97 died on December 1, 2023, at the Wisconsin Dells Health Service in Wisconsin Dells, WI Leonard was born in Portage on July 11, 1926, to Christian "Pete" and Inger (Nielsen) Johnson. Leonard is survived by his son Robert and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy (nee: Detert), four brothers; Francis, Norman, Orville, Melvin and three sisters; Alice, Edith, and Alma. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Silver Lake Cemetery in Portage. The family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Dells Health Service and Dr. Krumpos for the care and compassion given to Leonard.
