Lawrence "Larry" Adney Martin, age 62 years, of Oxford and formerly of Portage died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1949 in Portage to Joel and Elaine (Chick) Martin. Larry worked as the Building and Grounds Director for Columbia County for 34 years and served as a supervisor the last 10 years until his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed fishing and was always looking forward to his annual fishing trip with his son, loved all his dogs especially Teddy, lifelong Packer fan, was a well loved man, loved his family, proud of his kids and grandkids and crazy about his little granddaughter, Marisa. Survivors include his loving wife - Fey of Oxford, Daughter - Lindsay Martin of Portage, Son - Dean (Kristi) Martin of Janesville, 3 Grandchildren - Marisa, Cody and Megan; and 4 sisters - Deb (Dean) Audiss of Portage, Kathy Barnard of Rio, Linda (Dennis) Hoel of Rio and Julie (Greg) Brenneman. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother - Joel and brother in law - Jon Barnard. Funeral services will be held at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
