Joyce Christenson was the daughter of Irene (Kampa) and Apolinary Waldera. She was born September 21,1944 in Independence, Wisconsin. She Married Hilmer Christenson on July 10,1965 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence, Wisconsin. She has traveled far to Orlando, Florida, Seattle, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska and may often be referred to as a road runner. She passed away September 29th, 2023 surrounded by love at Gundersen Lutheran. She is survived by her three children all from Blair, Wisconsin: Lisa (Bob) Antos, Lorin Christenson (Lori Hoem), and Lance (Luanne) Christenson. Her grandchildren: Shamula (Kevin) Peterson, Pamela Antos, Lorin "JC" (Brittany) Christenson, Scottie Berger (Paige Drazkowski), Brittany Kotlarz, Shayla Killian, Lexie Killian (Brandon Maynard), Mac Christenson, Kyle (Sadie) Anderson, Jordan Sonsolla, Samantha Johnson. Her Great Grandchildren: Gretchen Peterson, Addy Berger, Becca Berger, Brynn Jonhson, Dalennah Hamble, Ellianna Hamble, Oaklynn Maynard, Bliss Anderson, Ora Anderson, Luna Anderson, Kylah Sonsalla, Lincoln Sonsalla. Her Siblings: Janet Mueller (Dave), Judy Abrahamson, Joanne Ellis, Jerome (Shelly) Waldera, Joe Waldera, Jim Waldera, Mary (Stephen) Deetz, Kenny Waldera. A Sister-in-law Bonnie (Tilmen) Leque, and a Brother-in-law Ronald Christenson. She is loved by many great nieces and nephews, cousins and many amazing friends. She was a lady of love, and her love was infinite!!! She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hilmer Christenson, his parents Jennings and Grace Christenson, Jodi and Brett Allen Antos, Becky Christenson, Maverick Berger, Eugene Waldera, Keith Waldera, Justin Waldera, Lori Gonzalez, Cheryl Stone, Denis Christenson, Jon Soto, Ronald Waldera. Brother-in-laws: Donnie Mueller, Leroy Ellis, Vernon Stone,Gene Olsted, Michael Davidson, Larry, Wally, Harlan, and Allen Christenson. Sister-in-laws: Donna Soto, Joanne Olsen, Sandra Stone, Shirley Anderson, Sherri Christenson. As well as other loved ones awaiting her in heaven. Joyce Christenson's funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on November 11, 2023 at St. Ansgar Catholic Church. Wake will be from 9:00-10:30 am burial to follow service. We invite family and friends to celebrate and remember her beautiful life from 12pm till 6pm at the Blair community center!
