John "Jack" Edward Thill, age 41 years of Portage and formerly of Tomah died on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.  He was born on October 7, 1972 in Tomah to Donald and Judy (Chick) Thill.  Jack grew up in the Tomah area where he graduated from the Tomah High School and then graduated from UW-LaCrosse.  On May 9, 2012 he was united in marriage to Chelsey Carmody in Madison.  Jack was a salesman for TASC and enjoyed fencing, playing the mandolin, entertaining and telling stories. Survivors include his wife, Chelsey of Portage, parents, Don & Judy Thill of Tomah, sister, Sara Hart of Tomah, other relatives and many close friends. A service will be held for Jack at St. John the Baptist Church in Montello, WI at 10 am on Saturday, April 26, 2014.  Family and friends will gather at White Lake Beach Resort N4785 19th Avenue, Montello for a ceremony to celebrate his life following the service.- the ceremony will begin at 3 pm.
