Jean Marie Nehls, 95 years, of Portage died on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Remington House in Pardeeville. She was born on February 27, 1917 in Portage to Harry and Irene (Acers) Bryan.   Jean enjoyed her trips to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit her daughter and family. She loved spending summers at Swan Lake, family dinners, dancing and playing cards.   Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy Ness of Salt Lake City and Sally (Steve) Lueptow of Pardeeville, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nephews and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Spike" Nehls, son in law Gene Ness, her sister Evelyn Moseley, brother in law Forrest Moseley, her brother Howard Bryan and sister in law Ann Bryan.   It was Jean's wish that a private graveside service be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.    A special thanks to the Remington House, Jean and the rest of the staff for taking great care of Mom.
