Portage, Wisconsin Jean H. Koch age 74 of Portage, Wisconsin died on Friday, February 21, 2025 with her loving family by her side.

Jean was born on July 29, 1950, in Rockford, IL to J.D. and Zelpha (Pillsbury) Russell. Jean was a nurse for over 40 years, the first half of her career was in elder care, the second half was as an LPN and manager of The Remington House in Pardeeville, WI.

Jean spent her life caring for people. Life's enjoyment for Jean were Ho Chunk Casino, her trip out west and snowmobiling.

Jean raised three generations of children, and is survived by her loving sister Penny Lobenstein, brother Bernie, Jean's children: Bill, Keith and Julie (Bryan); her grandchildren Kelley (John), Michael (Kristen), Faith, Alicia, Emily. Her great grandchildren Jenell, Julie, Michael, Lilyana, Daniel, Nevaeh, Colter, Waylon and Robby. Thank you to Jeans Special friends, Jackie Mick and Justin Zhe.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, brother Randy and a granddaughter Ashley VanTassel.

Jean will be dearly remembered by all the lives and families that she touched over the 20 years at Remington House.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held around the time of her birthday in July.
