Jean Francis Chappell, age 98 passed away January 10, 2018 at Tivoli Assisted Living, Portage. Jean was blessed with a long full life, born to the late Elizabeth and Walter F. Jones December 7, 1919. Jean Jones and Lester H. Chappell married in 1939. Jean enjoyed her friends and playing cards, especially bridge for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Jean was a "sports fan", she followed the Warriors, the Badgers and yes, the Packers! During her recent illness she enjoyed holding babies and puppies and visits from Sierra. Jean is survived by sons James L. (Lois) Chappell of Portage, WI; Robert W. (Dorothy) Chappell of Biloxi, MS; daughter Nancy (Michael) Condon of Winter Haven, FL and a sister Edith Jones Litsheim. Grandma Jean was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great- great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Walter;  brothers Walter J. Jones, Douglas Jones and sister Ruth Cara (Leroy) Sweney. Jeans entire family would like to thank Tivoli and Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
