Taylor, WI  Jason Gerald Byom 45, of Taylor died suddenly on February 24, 2015 in Chicago, Ill. Born October 10, 1969 to Gerald and Patricia (Hammes) Byom in LaCrosse, WI. He married Angela Moen on December 3, 2005 and enjoyed 9 years of marriage. He graduated from G-E-T High School in 1988. Jason was employed by Alter Metal Recycling in Onalaska, WI. And working most recently in Beaver Dam, Waupun and Portage WI. In December of 2014 he celebrated 20 years with the company. Jason loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and walking the trails at the family cabin. Weekends were spent driving back roads with Angie and Missy, listening the Country Classics and looking for deer. Jason is survived by his wife Angie, son Michael Schock (Kalli Smith), step daughter Megan Hovre, grandson Ledger Schock, loyal companion Missy (Beagle Basset), parents Jerry and Pat Byom (Ettrick), brothers: Randy (Michelle) Byom (Holmen), Brad Byom (Trempealeau) Curt Byom (Ettrick), Sister Beth (Shawn) McConnell (Ettrick). Nephews: Gary McConnell, Ben and Zachary Byom, Tim Moen. Nieces: Jamie McConnell (Thomas Miller) and Mackenzie Moen. Father-in Law Allen Moen and Brother-in law Sid (Angie) Moen, Grandfather Rolland Byom and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Doris Byom and David Hammes, cousins: Seth and Sara Hammes, Trenton Vickroy. Michael Lounsbrough, Aunt Bonnie Byom, Mother-in law June Moen. Memorial services will be 11 am Saturday at North Beaver Creek Lutheran church - Brick Building in Ettrick, visitation will be from 4-8 pm Friday at the church.
