James Myron Van Wagner, age 68 of Baraboo, WI died on Thursday, December 26, 2024
James was born on January 6, 1956 in the heart of the Catskills in New York, to James and Laura (Hummel) Van Wagner.
Jim was a truck driver for 30 years and moved to Wisconsin in 1982 where he met Robin Prellwitz in 1985, they had two children Jackie and James.
Robin and Jim got married in 1992. He drove truck up until 1989 where he decided to get off the road but not away from trucks, he started at Petro in Portage in 1989 and worked there until 2002.
Jim loved to travel if it wasn't to the heart of the Catskills, it was somewhere with a racetrack or something fun for his kids to do.
Later in life Jim and Robin settled in Baraboo where they continued to travel to racetracks he went to 69 racetracks over the years. He was a loyal fan of the Wisconsin badgers, Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Yankees.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Robin Van Wagner his two kids Jackie Van Wagner and James Van Wagner. Also, his sister Shannon his two brothers John and Mike. And his granddaughter Alaunie Byrd
He was preceded in death by his Parents James (Laura Hummel) Van Wagner and his son Jesse Van Wagner.
There will be no funeral services per Jim's request but will be a celebration of life at a later date.
