James Dean Birkes Jr., 49, of Lodi, WI, formally of Cedar Falls, IA, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, from a motorcycle accident. Born November 30, 1962, son of James D Birkes Sr. & Judith L. (Peters)-Sioux City. He married Annette Begonia on December 31, 2005 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Jim graduated from North High School in Sioux City and was an alumni of University of Northern Iowa. He was employed as a sales representative for Curtis 1000. He had a passion for life which included his music, friends, and rendezvous. Jim is survived by his wife, Annette of Lodi, WI, daughter Katlyn, son Evan, both of Pewaukee, WI, his parents, a brother, Randy, and a sister, Shelly Erwin, of Sioux City, IA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 13, from 3-8 p.m., at their home in Lodi, WI. Another celebration will be held on Sat, July 14 from 3 - 6 p.m.at Grace Reformed Church in Waterloo, Iowa. Memorial Service starting at 3:00pm on Saturday, July 14th with fellowship and meal to follow between 4-6pm at Grace Reformed Church in Waterloo, Iowa.
