Ivalee "Lee" Lichman, age 84 years, of Portage passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at her home in Portage. She was born on April 10, 1927 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Goldie and Ruth (Brookings) Findling. Lee was united in marriage to Jacob "Jim" Lichman on November 10, 1953 in Mason City, Iowa. She loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed long walks, cooking/baking, reading and she enjoyed her cat - Sophie. In later years Lee and Jim enjoyed touring the country together, taking a trip around the United States borders and coastline on their 1985 Honda Goldwing. Lee's smile, quick wit and warmth toward others will be dearly missed. Lee is survived by her Husband - Jim of Portage; 3 Sons - Jim (Gale) Lichman of Fond du Lac, Rick (Barbara) Lichman of Muskego and Jay (Kathy) Lichman of Portage; 1 Daughter - Cathi (Dennis) Ballweg of Columbus; 2 Sisters - Judy and Sharon of Mason City, Iowa; Grandchildren - Sarah, Annie, Jay, Brenda, Eric, Ben, Luke, Chris, Jake and Samantha; Beloved Great Grandchildren; as well as her best friend - Judy Sutton. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage from 10 AM until 12 Noon followed by a prayer service. Service Details.
