George M. Herold, Sr, age 70 years, died suddenly on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence in the Town of Pacific, rural Pardeeville. He was born on April 30, 1939 in Milwaukee to John and Elizabeth (Neimchek) Herold. George graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1959. On August 26, 1967, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Koepp at the Poynette Methodist Church. He was a retired factory worker having lived the past 34 years in the Town of Pacific. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse shoes, bowling and goose hunting with his son. He was proud to be a school crossing guard the past 9 years at Julia Rusch Middle School. Survivors include his wife - Dorothy of Pardeeville, son - George JR (Jessica) Herold of Baraboo, Two daughters - Tina (Eric) Davids of Tampa, FL and Tammy Lawry of Athens, Tenn., Five Grandchildren - Elena, Elizabeth, Evan, Eric and Denise, Four sisters - Helen (Jack) Hagg of Oak Creek, Dorothy Harris of Pardeeville, Elizabeth (Maurice) Plenty of Poynette and Jeanette (Gerald) Miller of Pardeeville and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother - John, two sisters - Margaret and Mary and two infants.
