Genevieve Elvira Yost, age 81 years, of Portage died on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her residence. She was born on May 14, 1930 in Alba, Michigan to Chester and Winifred (Olds) Udell. Genevieve was united in marriage to Clifford Yost on her birthday, May 14, 1955 in Rio. She was a cook for the Portage School District for many years and also enjoyed taking care of her kids and grandkids. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Clifford of Portage; 6 children - Danny Yost of Stanley, WI, Mark Yost of Phoenix, Judy (Jeff) Wagner of Portage, Debra (Pete) Kirscher of Portage, Lisa (Tim) Varela of Portage and Troy (Sonya) Yost of Portage; 25 grandchildren and numerous great and step grandchildren; brother - Melvin (Barb) Udell of Rio; 3 sisters - Luella (Phil) Woodward of Pardeeville, Alvina (Don) McQueen of Pardeeville and Linda Wenzel of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother - Arden Udell and an infant sister - Vivian Udell. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Portage with Scott Kite officiating.
