Freeda Hannah Barry, age 95 years, of Portage died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Northview Gardens in Portage. She was born on January 29, 1915 in the Town of Marcellon, Columbia County to Edward and Mary (Leverence) Martin. On March 29, 1941, Freeda was united in marriage to Woodrow Wilson Barry in Dubuque, Iowa; he preceded her in death on April 4, 1991. She worked at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory for 43 years. Freeda also enjoyed flowers and gardening. Survivors include one brother - Leo (Phyllis) Martin of Portage, one sister in law - Rosemary Martin of Portage and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers - Clarence, Edward, John, George and Bobby. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage with Rev. Dick Inglett officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Portage.
