Evelyn was born on October 25, 1921 to Paul and Ruth Sindt of Tipton, Iowa. She passed away on December 28, 2019. She married Robert Workman on July 17, 1943. They were married for 69 years. Shortly after Evelyn and Bob were married, they enjoyed owning and operating an ice cream shop called The Meet & Eat in Tipton, Iowa. During the rest of her life, Evelyn had various other jobs, but most enjoyed being a homemaker and mother to her two children, Steve and Roxanne. She especially liked planting flowers and then enjoying their beauty. She also enjoyed baking bread, cookies and pies. Even when she was mainly bedridden, she would bake cookies to repay their neighbor in Portage, WI for shoveling their walk in winter. There was always a glass of lemonade or coffee, and a treat ready for those that stopped by. Some other highlights of her life were that on September 9, 1939, she dedicated her life to serving her Creator, Jehovah God, by being baptized in the Cedar River in Iowa. Weekly, she shared in telling others about God's Kingdom and it's blessings to come and the future hope of a resurrection for those who have died. Survivors include her son Steve (Margot) Workman of Naples, FL, their children Kate (Matt) Gilvin, Granger, Indiana, Lindsay Workman, Kenosha, WI, daughter Roxanne (Alan) Glick of Madison, WI, and their children David (Carrie) Glick, North Ridgeville, OH, Cassie (Joe) Cordy, Plover, WI, four great grandchildren, Betsy and Eve Glick and Duke and Diesel Cordy and her sister, Marian Seifert, Davenport, IA.
