Evelyn Doris Pfuehler Bradley, age 100 years, died on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Montello Care Center. She was born on April 23, 1910 in the Town of Winnebago, Columbia County to Rudolph and Amanda (Manthey) Pfuehler. Evelyn grew up in the Portage area and has lived on the farm near Dalton for the past 50 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. On June 29, 1957, Evelyn was united in marriage to Everett Bradley; he preceded her in death on February 23, 1999. She was a homemaker, farm wife, had worked at the Portage Hosiery for 12 years, enjoyed flowers, needle work, making cookies and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include 4 sons - Leslie (Joyce) Mountford of Portge, Eugene Mountford of Montello, Clifford (Rita) Mountford of Endeavor and Douglas "Jack" Mountford of Dalton; 7 Grandchildren - Cathy, Steve, Philip, Julie, Nancy, Deanna and Shelly; 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild; 3 Sisters - Ethel Peterson of Rio, Arlene Lesser of Portage and Phyllis (Ted) Huebner of Monroe. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter - Doris Stanton, Son in law - Nowell Stanton, 3 Grandchildren - William, Eugene JR and Sandy, 3 Sisters - Esther, Verna and Leone, and 4 Brothers - Arthur, Wilbert, Oscar and Don. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Portage with Rev. Alan Boeck officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcellon Cemetery, rural Pardeeville. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until 11 AM.
