Evalyn L. Harris, age 102 years, of Portage, died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Columbia County Health Care in Wyocena. She was born on September 9, 1908 in Pardeeville, the daughter of the late Walter and Flora (Damuth) Dalton. Evalyn was united in marriage on August 25, 1934 to Harland Harris; he preceded her in death on March 31, 1999. She was a member of the Portage United Methodist Church and also was a piano teacher and church organist for many years. Survivors include 1 Son - Neal (Diane) Harris of Vernon Hills, IL and other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by parents and a sister - Anita Barden. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Portage United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Countryman officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosedale Cemetery in Scott Township, Columbia County, WI. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
