Obituary

Evadine Myrtle (Schultz) Paske, 86, of rural Portage passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Our House in Portage. She was born on September 15, 1926 to William and Myrtle (Schwantz) Schultz on the family farm at Merrimac. She lived 63 years on the family farm in Caledonia Township.  Evadine married Raymond Paske on December 2, 1944; he preceded her in death on August 25, 1998. She remained on the family farm until March 2012 when she relocated to assisted living in Portage. Evadine liked to cook, bake (she made awesome homemade dinner rolls for years), gardening and especially enjoyed her embroidery work. Over the years, most family members received a few pieces of her meticulous work.  Evadine is survived by daughter Virginia "Ginny" (Carl) Hatton of Colorado Springs, Colorado, son Duane Paske of Portage and son Dean (Debbie) Paske of Portage who farmed in partnership with his parents and cared for them for many years; 11 grandchildren - Reed Raiten, Teresa (Christian) Kothbauer-King, Jeffrey (Heather) Kothbauer, David (Crystal) Kothbauer, Jennifer Kothbauer, Jeremy (Kelly) Paske, Jennifer Paske, Douglas Paske, David Paske Julie Paske and Jacki Paske, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathryn in April 1954, daughter Joan Kothbauer of Eau Claire in January 2010, nine brothers - Arnold Schultz, twin brothers Melvin and Milton Schultz, Earl Schultz, Erwin Schultz, Frederick Schultz, Elmer Schultz, Russell Schultz, Floyd Schultz and her only sister Mildred DeVoe.  The immediate family will honor Evadine's request for private services and burial next to Raymond at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Caledonia. Memorial donations may be made to the family or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church per the family. We wish to express thanks to Dr. David Gregory, Home Health Hospice and the staff at Our House for all of the care given to Evadine. Service Details. Visitation
