Eugene P. Mountford Eugene P. Mountford, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, surrounded by the care-giving staff at Montello Care Center. He was born on May 28, 1931 in Moundville Township, WI. He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for General Telephone as a lineman for many years. Eugene was an avid fisherman, hunter and waterskier who loved being on the water. He loved to play cards and spoil his pets. Survived by his daughters, Nancy (John) Healy, St. Paul, MN, DeAnna (Robert) Smith, Burnsville, MN; his grandchildren Ryan Fitzsimmons, Robert O. Smith and Matthew Smith; his brothers Douglas (Jack) and Clifford; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Eugene John (Butch) and William (Billy); brother Leslie; sister Doris (Dolly) Stanton; and parents Delbert Mountford and Evelyn Pfeuhler. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday April 20, 2017 at the Kratz Funeral Home- Portage; with a visitation from 2:00 until time of service.
