Eugene C. Doud, 71, died in the morning of Thursday, September 27, 2018 at his home in Briggsville. Eugene was born May 25, 1947 in Black River Falls. He was a veteran and served in Vietnam from 1965-1966. He married Mary E. Weiss on August 9, 1969. They lived in Milwaukee, for many years in New Holstein, and retired to Briggsville. He worked for many years at Tecumseh Products. They have two children, Phillip, 41 and Andrew 39. Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary, his sons Phillip and Andrew, his grandsons Andrew Jr. and Jerry, his brother Roger, his sisters Stella, Suzie, Beth, and Rosa, and his foster siblings Bruce Kinyon and Darlene Smothers. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Geri Ann, his father, Leonard Doud, his beloved grandmother Elsie Farrington (Bloom), and his foster parents, Leslie and Bess Kinyon. Eugene was involved with the community throughout his life. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club, a member of the American Legion, served as a volunteer paramedic in the Briggsville area and was a member of the St. Mary's Help of Christian's parish. Beyond his civic involvement, Eugene was a generous man who touched the lives of so many people in the community. His loss will be felt dearly by all those who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the St Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church in Briggsville, WI. Father Gary Krahenbuhl will be officiating.
