Obituary

Portage, WI Ethel M. Clark age 86 of Portage, WI went to her heavenly home on Friday, May 19, 2017 after a short stay at the Reedsburg Senior Life Center in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Ethel was born December 1, 1930 in Chicago, Il to Raymond and Alice (Anderson) Moravek. Her family moved to Wisconsin Dells when she was a teenager. She married Carleton Kassner in 1952 and lived in Lewiston township for 25 years, working on the family farm and raising her children. She moved to Portage in 1979 where she met and married William B. Clark from New Lisbon on Feb. 14, 1984. They settled in Portage where she worked at Eleanor's Bridal and Dress Shop. She loved helping people with styling and matching clothes to look their best, she also modeled and helped with fashion shows. She was a member of women's railroad club, treasurer of the St. Paul's Cemetery Association for many years, and a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Ethel had a great love for all animals; giving to the Humane Society every year. She loved flowers and decorating her yard and home. She spent many hours reading, crocheting, garage saling, shopping and working with animals. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; spouse William B. Clark; grandson Jacob Kassner and daughter Lisa Williams. She is survived by her brother Raymond Jr. and Carol Moravek, Daughter Debbie (William) Masters, Son Kurt (Patti) Kassner; daughter Kim Kassner and son-in-law Richard Williams; step daughter Cathy (Dave) Johnson grandson Will. Grandchildren, Simon (Emily) Masters, great grandson; Austin, Jason (Kristen) Masters, Karla (Scott) Reuter; great grandsons; Konner, Kolten, Kaysen, Justine (Derick) Steinmetz, great granddaughter Amara and great grandson Lucien, Lindsey Kassner, Logan (Mackenzie) Kassner, great granddaughter Skyler, great grandsons Landon and Liam, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She taught us to love and celebrate family with many get together's, tables full of food, rooms full of laughter, hugs and kisses, to think and to stand up for ourselves and work hard, to watch the Green Bay Packer football games. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Lewiston Township, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Pastor William Grimm will be officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in the church cemetery. For those wishing to make a memorial donation the family is grateful and prefers they be made to the family for a memorial that will be established in Ethel's name.
