Elizabeth Doris (Krueger) Grinnell age 96 of Portage, WI died on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City, WI Elizabeth was born on July 18, 1920 to Edward and Elizabeth (Petra) Graves. Elizabeth attended school in Caledonia, but graduated from Portage High School. Elizabeth married Wilber "Butch" Krueger who preceded her in death in 1957, She then married William Grinnell who was a farmer, Elizabeth felt like it was moving back home. He also preceded her in death in 1995. Elizabeth loved to sew, she made all the kids clothing when they were growing up, she was employed for many years at the shoe factory. Elizabeth will always be remembered for her donuts. She has been a lifelong reader. She also loved to dance. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Mary (Norman) Raddatz of Baraboo; son Randy Krueger of Portage; Brother Kenneth (Jean) Graves of Portage; sister Lucille Wheeler of Portage and a brother-in-law Lavern Sharpe. She also has four grandchildren, Timothy (Jennifer) Raddatz; Stacy Raddatz; Alexa Krueger and Alyse (Tony) Boivin and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Wilber "Butch" Krueger; second husband William Grinnell; son Robert "Whitey" Krueger; brother Alburn Graves; and six sisters Eunice Scher; Carol Messer; June Mielke; Ruth Paske; Allison Pulvermacker and Phyllis Sharpe. A Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage. Father Gary Krahenbuhl will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will take place in the Silver Lake Cemetery following the service.
