Eli Roland Hogan, age 80 years died on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. He was born on December 10, 1932 in Navarino, Shawano County to Irgens and Valberg (Gunderson) Hogan.   Eli graduated from Shawano High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the US Air Force proudly serving for 4 years. On April 19, 1958 Eli was united in marriage to Nell Vassar at the Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church in Menasha, WI, she preceded her in death on December 2, 2002. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.   Survivors include children Wendell (Peggy) Johnson of Derby, NY, Jeffery (Norma) Johnson of Auburn, MI, Gary (Debbie) Johnson of Milwaukee, Kim (Melvin) Mravik of Portage and Cindy (Thomas) Foth of Adams, daughters in law Glenda Johnson of Saginaw, MI, 12 grandchildren Jeffry Paul Johnson, Kathy (Bob) Yacone, Elisabeth Johnson, Rick Fowler, Shannon Fowler, Tracy (Darrell) Kapp, Trina (Jeff) Simonson, Samantha Mravik, Bob (Shawna) Johnson, Pat Johnson, Maggie Johnson and Kari Foth, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brother Clayton Hogan of Seymour, WI, sister Gertrude (Neil) Kiedinger of De Pere, sisters in law Lois DuCharme of Mena, AR and Linda (Morris) Erickson of Virgina and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eli was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and several other relatives.   Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage with Rev. Alan Boeck officiating. Military rites will be held at 6:30 PM by the Portage Area Veterans. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 PM until 7:30 PM.
