Obituary

Edward Franklin "Red" Kuehl, age 70 years of Portage, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born on August 15, 1940 in Freeport, IL to Frank and Margaret Kuehl. Red had lived in Freeport for about 35 years working for Anchor-Harvey Components for many years and then moved to the Portage area about 10 years ago. He was a devoted husband, hard working, enjoyed bowling, was an avid card player and liked to stay busy with his hands building shelves. Survivors include his Wife - Barbara of Portage, Son - James Kuehl of Brandon, WI; 5 Sisters in law - Jean (Dennis) Baerwolf of Portage, Susan Herman of Steven Point, Nancy Herman of Madison, Mary Lou Herman of Madison and Carla (Greg) Reisen of Montello; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons - Michael and Dennis. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 10 AM until Noon at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage.
