Obituary

Edmond LeRoy "Tino" Jackson, age 79 years, surrounded by loving family went to his eternal rest at home on the morning of October 24, 2011. He was born on March 16, 1932 in Mauston, son of the late Leon and LaVina (Lawton) Jackson. Edmond LeRoy was united in marriage to Mary Carley on February 16, 1951 in Richland Center. He worked for Oscar Mayer as a mechanic for over 30 years and enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, music, playing a guitar and was in a small band. Survivors include his wife - Mary of Portage; Children - Linda Jackson of Milwaukee, Tim (Rhonda) Jackson of Oxford, Vickie Jackson of Texas, Steve (Debbie) Jackson of Poynette and Bryan (Terri) Jackson of Mauston; Eleven Grandchildren - Angela, Aaron, Kara, Valerie, Karina, Ashlee, Derek, Crystal, Kelly, Emma and Adam; Six Great Grandchildren; Siblings - Doug Jackson of Elroy, Julia Garrity of Beloit, Mickey Feinberg of Baraboo, Laberta Price of DeForest, Marcella (Gene) Parchem of Baraboo, Shirley (Bun) Carley of Richland Center, Bruce (Annie) Jackson of Baraboo, Robert (Faith) Jackson of Oakdale, Sharon (Ed) Statz of Baraboo; James (Rose) Jackson of Baraboo, Thomas (Kathy) Jackson of Baraboo and Danny Jackson of Baraboo; and many other loved friends, family members and his musical family. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson - Sean Norton. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage with Michael Amberg officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Mauston. Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home, Portage on Sunday from 11 AM until 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. Service Details.
