Town of Caledonia, "Deaner" Duane Otto Maass age 82 died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home after a long battle with heart disease. He is survived by a sister Phyllis Williams and a special friend Dorothy Neitzel. Deaner served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany, and was a very proud American Soldier. He is further survived by nephews Douglas and Stuart Williams and their families. Nieces, Susan Bolgrin, Sally Williams, June Anderson and their families. He was preceded in death by a brother Donald. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 21, 2016 in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage, WI Rev. Greg Hovland will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. till time of service at the church. A private Family burial will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in the Caledonia hills.
