Douglas Michael Collins age 73 of Madison, formerly of Portage, WI died on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at his home in Madison.

Doug was born on August 23, 1952 to Francis and Frances (Johnson) Collins.

Doug was a 1970 graduate of Portage High School; He spent his working career at Fleetwood and Rayovac in Portage. Doug was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Douglas is survived by his sister Diane (Thomas) Stein on North Freedom; brother Joseph (Shelly) Collins of Milton, WI; sister Mary Benson of Baraboo, WI; sister Janet (Gary) Schoppenhorst of Endeavor; many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Kathy Gibson and a brother in infancy Dennis Collins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in the Saint John Henry Newman Parish at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception church in Portage, WI, Father Randy Timmerman will be officiating.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, from 9:00 a.m. to the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Burial to follow in the St. Mary Cemetery in Portage, WI
