Donald L. Stabenaw age 70, of Portage, WI died December 4, 2014 peacefully at his home. Don was born on March 4, 1944 to Arthur and Eleanor (Bublitz) Stabenaw. Don married Marie Beckius on June 27, 1970 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Portage. Don was a Veteran of the US Army serving from 1963 to 1966 Don was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post in Pardeeville, WI  Don was an avid bowler and enjoyed volunteering at the Helping Hands food pantry. Don enjoyed spending time woodworking and bird watching out his window. Dons survivors include his children Michael Stabenaw of Portage; Cheryl (Peter) Kendrick of Mount Horeb, WI. A sister Betty (Eugene) Pulver of Pardeeville, WI; a brother James (Mary Anne) Stabenaw of Menomonee Falls, WI Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie Jan. 23, 2006 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Picha Funeral Home in Portage.
