Donald "Don" Hinze, age 69 of Baraboo, Wisconsin, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Wm.S.Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison Wisconsin. Funeral services for will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastors Steve and Deb Ohrtman officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, August 9, 2010 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M. Don was born March 27, 1941 in Baraboo, WI, the son of Rinehart and Mildred (Degroot) Hinze. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. He married Beverly Dunse in November of 1962 in Rock Springs, Wisconsin. He worked in construction for Kramer and Sons for 14 years, was in sales for Palmer Johnson Power Systems for 26 years and enjoyed his retirement for the past three years. He loved hunting and fishing. He was the Treasure of the Tri-City Bass Club for 26 Years, a member of the Elks Club and the Delton Sportsmen Club. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed being outdoors with his family and friends. Don is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Kim (Shelly Jacobson) Hinze of Poynette, WI, Kathy (Michael) Slaght of Wisconsin Dells and Kevin (Karen) Hinze of Baraboo; grandchildren, Joshua, Jordon, Blake, Travis, Morganne, Trevor, Abygail and Cayden; brothers and sisters, Joanne Phippen of Baraboo, Carl Hinze of Larue, WI, Edward Hinze of Baraboo, Richard (Karen) Hinze of Baraboo and Mary Jacobs of Baraboo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert and Ken. Don will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends. Service Details.
