Donald Julius Brue, age 87 years, of Poynette died peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 24, 1924 in Leeds, WI to Julius and Florence (Lee) Brue. Don grew up in the Poynette area where he graduated from high school, moved to Madison before moving back to Poynette in 1968. He was united in marriage to Martha Scherbert on August 8, 1953 at the Christ Lutheran Church in De Forest, she preceded him in death on November 10, 2010. Don worked at Sub Zero in Madison for 35 years, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards. Survivors include his 4 Children - Dale (Diana) Brue of Poynette, Randy (Susan) Brue of Poynette, Debbie (Peter) Hayes of Portage and Jeff (Darci) Brue of Poynette; 12 Grandchildren - Albertina (Clayton) Buss, Christopher Brue, Benjamin Brue, Katie (Ryan) France, Matthew Brue, Michael Hayes, Jessica (Matthew) Meier, Jennifer Hayes, Emily Hayes, Philip Hayes, Joel White and Cody Brue; 7 Great Grandchildren - Lillian, Howard, Marlaina, Charlene, Donavyn, Saraphin and Lydia; 4 Sisters - Francis Vangsness of Poynette, Margaret Nelson of Sauk City, Constance Nelson of De Forest and Elizabeth Borde of Rio and many other relatives and friends. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers - Kenneth Brue and Nils Brue. As per his request there will be no service at this time. Service Details.
