Derek Joel Motsenbocker, age 28 years of Portage died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Harmony Grove.  He was born on February 12, 1986 in Portage to Lyle and Naomi (Bresnahan) Motsenbocker. Derek has lived in Portage all his life where he graduated from Portage High School in 2004.  He worked in construction and had worked at Penda Corporation.  Derek enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, snowboarding, water skiing, swimming, kayaking and camping.   Survivors include his two children, Brody and Bree and their mother, Hali Simonson of Portage, mother, Naomi Motsenbocker of Pardeeville, father, Lyle Motsenbocker and Rhonda Winchell of Cambria, grandmothers, Mary Bresnahan and Charline Motsenbocker both of Portage, great grandmother, Minnie Garrett of Portage, sister, Lacy Motsenbocker of Portage, brother, Cody Motsenbocker of Portage, fiancée, Cassie Aiken of Harmony Grove, her parents, Donald & Kay Aiken of Harmony Grove, 2 aunts, Dawn Motsenbocker (Jon Timpe) of Cambia and Robin Hendrickson of Cambria and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his granddad, Patrick Bresnahan, grandpa, Oliver Motsenbocker and an uncle, Faron Motsenbocker. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 7:00 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Portage with Rev. Alan Boeck officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 5 - 7 PM.
