Ettrick, Wisconsin David Jerome Tranberg, Age 70, of rural Ettrick passed away on Wednesday, July 19 2017, after a short time at the Grand View Care Center in Blair, WI, after a long hard fight with cancer. Dave was born on March 28, 1947, in Ettrick, WI, to Oscar and Hilda (Sexe) Tranberg. Dave attended the Hegg School and graduated from the Blair High school in 1965. Dave Married Judith Dick on July 13, 1968, they have been married for 49 years. Dave always had to be doing something, he began farming in rural Ettrick for many years, He was in the restaurant business for 13 years and for 27 years worked in the road construction industry. Dave was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and the Blair-Taylor Wildcats. He was always there to support his children; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dave enjoyed golfing softball and traveling with Judi. He was always involved with his community. He is the Council President at North Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, he enjoyed singing in the church choir, was a member of the Ettrick Lions Club, and Ettrick American Legion. Most of all Dave enjoyed being with his family. Dave is survived by his wife Judi of Ettrick; Daughter's Cheri (Scott) Omernick of Ettrick; Paula (Carl) Kennedy of Ettrick; Sons Kevin (Misty) Tranberg of Ettrick, Jeremy (Kristin) Tranberg of Blair; Brothers Lee (Wanda) Tranberg of La Crosse, WI, and James (Sally) Tranberg of Clarksville, TN; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dawn Bolte, sister Rosie, and her husband Terry Patten. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in Rural Ettrick, WI, with Burial to follow in the church cemetery with Pastor David Hendrickson officiating.
